About Out & In Concrete
I grew up in Columbia, surrounded by family in construction. It was second nature—the way some kids grew up around law or medicine, I grew up watching concrete being poured and homes being built. I went to the University of South Carolina, then graduate school at Furman. But I kept coming back to the work. There was something honest about it.
I spent ten years in home remodeling before I started Out & In Concrete four years ago. That decade taught me something that frustrated me: a lot of contractors treat your home like it's just another job. They show up late, or not at all. They leave a mess. They don't come back if something needs adjusting. I knew there had to be a better way.
The team I built reflects that. These men aren't learning the trade—they've been in construction for eight to twenty-five years. They're career men. They know the work, they care about doing it right, and they bring that same mindset to your property that they bring to their own.
'People are always surprised when I pull up. And that matters—because it means they know we're going to be different.'
— Founder, Out & In Concrete
Four years in, a few things have become clear. First: showing up on time isn't impressive. It should be standard. But because so many contractors don't do it, we've learned that being reliable is one of the fastest ways to earn trust. Your time matters. We honor that by being where we say we'll be.
Second: cleanup isn't the final ten percent of a job. It's thirty percent of what we do. That's not exaggeration—that's where we focus. We could leave you with a beautiful driveway surrounded by debris and dust. Instead, we treat your property like we'd treat our own. When we leave, the job is done. Not almost done. Done.
Third: most of our customers call us back. They bring us back for another project, and they give our number to friends and family. That's not because we're the cheapest or the fastest. It's because they know what they'll get: skilled work, respect for their space, and a team that genuinely cares about the final result.
When you work with us, you're working with people who've done this for decades. We handle concrete driveways, patios, pool decks, and stamped concrete. We do kitchen and bathroom remodels, wooden decks, foundations, and land clearing. If it's construction-related in Union County, we know how to approach it.
But what matters more than the list of services is the experience itself. You'll notice the difference the moment we arrive. You'll see it in how carefully we work. And you'll feel it after we leave—not just in the quality of what was built, but in how clean your property is and how much you trust us coming back.
If you're in Union County and you're looking for concrete work, remodeling, or any construction project, we'd like to talk. Call us, and you'll get someone who knows this work inside and out—and actually wants to do it right.
